Holiday Attire: Velvet Midi Skirt

With Thanksgiving right around the corner, we have officially entered the holiday season!  I especially love this time of year and will be kicking off some holiday themed content between now and December 25.  First up is a holiday inspired OOTD!

When thinking about what to wear for holiday events, it’s important to choose pieces that are comfortable (the last thing you want is to be restricted during a large meal!) and have styling versatility.  A sequins dress is awesome, but you can’t really wear it more than once during such a short timeframe and the styling options are quite limited.

Pleated midi skirts are super comfortable and offer great versatility, so I was ecstatic when I found this velvet number in a gorgeous shade of mustard.  During the day I can wear it with a simple turtleneck and ballet flats, and at night for holiday parties I’ll be pairing it with this statement bow top.  The color is festive without being predictable and looks great with a bold red lip and delicate gold jewelry.
