On Day 5 of NYFW we had a very full day of shows. I chose this vibrant pink dress I picked up in Positano during a trip to Italy last fall. Not only is it a statement maker, but it’s comfortable, practical (has pockets!) and looks pulled together, which is exactly what I wanted since we’d be going backstage and meeting a couple designers face-to-face.
The color didn’t disappoint – it grabbed the attention of several street style photographers and multiple film crews – I was interviewed by TRESemme, two Chinese TV stations and a fashion production company out of London. If I ever manage to find the footage I’ll be sure to post it here!
In the meantime, here is some BTS footage of my interview with TRESemme (I’m the lady in pink across the street).
When it comes to getting dressed, it’s always good to know what statement colors you look best in so you can tailor your wardrobe accordingly. If you took a look inside my closet you’d see a distinct pattern – I look best in vibrant jewel tones like pink sapphire and emerald. Take a look at your veins – if they are green like mine, colors with a little oomph (warm, jewel tones) will look best on you, whereas people with blue veins can pull off cool tones.
Look out for blues, warm reds and purplish-pinks as the main color trends for Fall 2016.
